The best time to see us is simple: As soon as a problem is discovered!
Most often, your general dentist will make the recommendation to be seen by an orthodontist. If you are a parent who is unsure whether a problem exists, the ideal age for an initial evaluation is seven or eight. Occasionally, a problem needs to be addressed and minor treatment performed at an early age to ensure proper growth, development, and function. Better to address any concerns early on to prevent a larger problem later! Children on follow-up status are monitored annually at no charge.
